Did y'all get the work status e-mail this morning? At the end it says, "as you can see, there is plenty of work available." How insulting. I have had no work for a very long time and this morning is no different. Who else doesn't have work this morning? Do ever wonder if work is being limited to those who have been there a long time and our CPL is higher than the new people they're hiring for those pathetic line rates? I think they want us long-timers to quit.

Why dont some of you respond to that status email - with precisely that question SM

that if there's plenty of work available, why cant you see it or have any of it.

You might get some of it assigned to you if you complain to team leaders, and copy the email to any upper level mismanagement persons.

The owner/manager is the person who sent the e-mail. I have sent e-mails in the past regarding this and they are never answered.

Documentation, if you're ever blamed for not meeting - line counts. SM

Then you have documentation that you've asked many times for more work and never get any.

It may help in the long run if you ever get terminated and should at least try for unemployment or something. Nuisance and MMental have to make up minimum wage if employees fall below it because of no work, some of the smaller MTSOs should have to do so as well.

I had documentation to back up my statement of facts on termination, and was granted unemployment. It's certainly not going to hurt anything to document your position.

How long have you been there? Are you on T? Just wonder what is going on and if need to start looking. Have been there for awhile but not probably considered long-timer, have really liked it here and was just hoping that I would land here and not have to keep searching forever. We can always dream, can't we, until reality hits...

I'm another long timer and have had very little work at OTI for a long time too. And it's frustrating because those status emails show that there IS work available.

I've asked for an additional account numerous times in the past, but finally gave up because even though I always got an email back, for whatever their reasons are, they will never give me another account. I don't think it's because of the CPL because I make about the same as the new hires. I've actually been wondering if maybe they started outsourcing (not offshoring, but outsourcing).

It's very sad to me because OTI used to be the premier company to work for and I used to love it there. But, they have changed over the years, and then went thru another very drastic change about a year ago and that is when my work fell off to practically nothing.

and you may be right in that maybe they want to get rid of everyone so they can pay the new people the 7-1/2 cpl they are now offering, which no doubt will drop to 7 and then 6-1/2, etc. I used to defend them but I no longer have the heart to do so.

Today I have had plenty of work without having to jump around all over the place. I enjoy working at MModal. They have taken on a couple dozen new accounts this year. They are a huge company and use Escription and Dictaphone Extext. They are owned by Dictaphone so rest assured they will have work when other companies are running out. The team leads are in America now, not in India. I would rather work for them and know I will get my lines and get paid than to make zero on another job because I'm pouting about working for a company that sends work to India. Just a FYI. ...

I was hired and told there was plenty of work. I could get all the pages I wanted. I am seeing a patten of only 1-2 days a week where I get work and the other days it just trinkles in.
