There are lots of posts from yesterday about "no work." Anyone care to elaborate on which companies you are experiencing this. I am trying to make a change and don't want to go through the same experience again. Thanks so much.

Good idea. I hope more people will post the names here so we don't waste our time applying to places in as bad or worse shape than where we are now.

Seems to be the case with everyone I know at Webmedx...lack of work. They're not alone. I just contracted with a local facility to do their transcription on a private basis. I'd rather count on myself than a company that obviously doesn't deliver.

On-Time Transcription is the worst so far. I've recently started working for them as an IC and have had to take on another job due to lack of work.

question - another OTT MT

Just wondering if you have talked to Linda or anyone else at OTT on why no work for 5 days. I am relatively new to OTT too. I know work flow has been a little slower this week but the only time I've found my pool empty for a full 24 hours is on the weekends.

I work at MQ and have not had work for months, except on weekends!! My accounts were outsourced and now we are "helpers" to the Indian workers. Apparently they don't have to work on weekends.

...but I haven't seen mention of anyone complaining or questioning the lack of work here on the boards.

The transcription side appears to be doing fairly well with a steady flow of work available, probably because AP knows not to hire for that division.

On the other hand, the new SR production mangler, I mean manager, has done a stellar job with overhiring. I think she should place some more help wanted ads for a shift between midnight and 1 a.m., this way she can ensure (or "insure" as she states) that the 1 measly file available across 40+/- accounts doesn't go out of TAT.

This company ran an ad recently for SR. I applied and had an interview, where they said they were not hiring for SR, but for transcription, which was fine with me..we discussed schedules and pay. Said she would get back to me with what exactly was available. Have not heard from her.

Breitner has been slow (or overhiring) for about 1 year! - Made half this year of what I made last year..nm

So sick of the comments left in the FIESA - I do NOT leave random blanks and always take the time to try and research it in the data base by either looking up patient or physician depending on what I am looking for and then when I cannot find it I leave a blank and then at end of day to see their remark that it WAS EASILY found is truly an insult and a smack in the face. Any comments about Amphion? I feel I'm about to get the boot from MModal and have started checking out other ads. Amphion looks okay for what I want - VR and PT employee status, but their requirement about being tech savvy intimidates me. I can download and save a file, but I'm not good at troubleshooting - I'm an old time MT who started out on a typewriter, so this sort of thing is more out of my realm. I think it's terrible that an MQ recruiter is on this board alluding to threatening MQ employees and former MQ employees about voicing their opinions about this company and that somehow they can figure out who we are. I haven't worked at Softscript very long, but had not had the experience others had mentioned regarding the constant emails, sometimes harassing and berating. However, just recently I've begun to notice an increase. There may be no work at the beginning of the week, when you're scheduled, but if work picks up they want an OT commitment, even if you aren't supposed to work. As much as we all like for things to go back the way they were before VR, before offshoring, before the EMR, that is unlikely to happen. can be done. That is SO NOT true, and I hate to state the obvious, the elephant in OUR room here, that its likely management trolls. The law firm listed below is fantastic. And class actions work where 1 or 2 Plaintiffs step up and its converted to a class action for all employees.
