NetScript Inc. -- anyone even hear of it? - SamIAm

I was originally contacted by NetScript, I believe they got my resume off Careerbuilder or something like that. They were looking for Fri, Sat and Sun work, from 6 pm to midnight. Been out of the field for 5 years, because I was lucky enough, financially, to be able to stay at home with my two kids. Im ready to get back into it, so Im sort of putting my feelers out there. I emailed back that I was interrested, and was told to call the manager to get details. She assured me it wasn't just overflow work, and I would be gaurinteed my hours. They never once asked about my experiance as an MT, as I figured being out of the field for 5 years would set me back some. They pretty much didn't ask any questions of me at all. Has anyone ever heard of this company? They have a 1-page medeocre website. They quickly sent me pages of paperwork to fill out and fax back, including a "Non-Competitive/Pursuit Agreement". Just to be sure we are on the same page, is this the company in Clarksville, Arkansas? The website I found had several pages (it is dot us, not dot com).

Don’t personally know anything about the company, but there was an old post in the Archives from last year. Did you happen to see anything in the contract about not being paid if quality was an issue? Evidently the person who posted last year said they did not pay her.

From the Better Business Bureau info, it appears they started in 2000 with 3 employees. I assume they have more now, but still sounds pretty small.

I would read over the contract again and maybe ask some questions before signing anything. Especially if they only want you to work part-time and not work for anyone else (unless that is all you need). You could end up running out of work constantly.

Give it a shot, why not. A contract can be broken. Personally, I have always worked for small companies (who get big accounts believe it or not) and have always been very very happy. Doing this 20 years and only 2 companies. More personal, you have a name, best of all you get respect. I say go for it.

"experience" "mediocre"

The hospital I work for used to contract with Netscript, Inc. a few years ago. The company has grown the last few years and one of our former employees works part-time for them and loves it. They do not hold out any taxes and don't provide full time benefits.

I have feverishly been sending my resume to companies for work. Thus far, NetScript (whom only wants 16 hrs per weekend); TTD, Inc. (Who also wants weekends, but I have heard horror stories about people not getting paid); and Inscribe (Which I had to pass 8 MT report tests to even apply, but will put me on a waiting list). Im confused as to what to do, as I have heard some good, some bad of each company. Getting paid on time is definately a big one for me. The pay is 0.08 and 0.03 cpl for VR ...

I recently took a job as an IC, thinking it would be great to make my own schedule. HOWEVER, I have to work when the work is there. There is no making my own schedule. The work flow dictates when I work. There is no work on Monday or Tuesday. Maybe a few reports trickle in late Tues, but then more work comes late Wednesday afternoon, then work Thurs, Fri, Sat, and by Sunday no work again. Account is for clinic docs, no acute care. I would love to hear from each one who is in this category and tell me if you as an independent are getting the following: The site says many companies that hire ICs give full benefits including sick leave, health insurance, sign on bonuses, paid vacations, retirement plans. Coumadin 30 mg per day. Now, I want to make sure I'm not dreaming here, but that is completely incorrect, right? Maybe I'm having a brain lapse (been an MT for 20 years) but I want to make sure my thinking is correct that this dosage would probably be lethal? This person has a foreign body in the foot. Does this sentence make sense? There appeared to be a foreign body distally that was visible and could hear audibly with the forceps. Can it be heard audibly as the forceps hits the foreign body? Thanks for any help. ...

For the first time in a long time, I was in the cesspool. I spent 3 hours with an ESL serial dictator, that was speaking so softly I couldn't hear most of what he was saying, and what I could hear I couldn't understand. In one of the reports I only got 5 random words after spending a half-hour on it - and it was only 20 seconds long. What should we do in cases like this - when you literally just Can't Get It, and not for lack of trying. ...
