wording to describe their company. I also do not trust a company that says someone did great on their test, but never contacted them. I would stay away from them IMO.

InScribe would be great for someone who has no experience. But, be aware that whatever "family" they're talking about doesn't exist. Expect belittling emails multiple times a day from management. The 'communication' is simply a giant AOL Blast room where it is expected you will spend a fair amount of time answering other MTs questions so files don't actually go to QA (because that costs them money - and your answers are free). Granted, there is no perfect company out there that will meet all your needs/wants, but the old saying is true on this one: If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

U was hired over a month ago. After 9 days of waiting for my 5 reports, that is what you have to do, 5 reports, they have a term for it, and computer glitches, we were starving here. Once the computer glitches were worked out, there was not enough work on the account they assigned me to even attempt the 5 job deal they want you to do. It was ridiculous. I don't do this as a hobby, I do it to make a living and I had to find a real job.

you will spend a ton of time babysitting accounts after your hours - for NOTHING. NM

Wow, all day today and yesterday I have been getting actual transcribe jobs, not ASR!!! Whuppeeeee!!!! This ol gal is relishing the respite for a while. I know it won't last long. I just got an eleven-minute dictation that I actually had the pleasure of transcribing as opposed to doing speech recognition on it. The dictator was perfect!! He spoke at a regular rate, not too fast and not too slow. His thoughts were organized and he enunciated his words clearly. I just typed my little heart out on that one and loved every minute of it!!!! Why can't it always be like that??? <Sigh> ...

Woohoo! Got the job offer today. At long last I am out of transcribing. I feel such relief I cannot even believe it. No more production pay at poverty rate. No more frustration of broken promises. Hello MTs! I recently submitted application and tests document to InScribe US and was informed that although I did "well" on the test, I was slightly below their standards. They have invited me to participate in their internship program, take 4 of their learning modules, and work with someone one-on-one to bring me up to their standards. This is to cost $400. I was just wondering if anyone out there works for Inscribe or has taken their test for employment. I took the test and it was incredibly hard with ESL dictators. In the email I received from them, along with turning me down was a shpeel on enrolling in their university. This made me wonder if it was ligit or what....... anyone know? ...

Just spoke with them and they hire IC and say you can pretty much work whenever you want as long as you make minimum counts. Pay is only .07 for typing or VR but they use own VR system that sounds interesting, you repeat what was dictated. Any info on them would be helpful. Thanks ...

I reviewed comments on InScribe going back to 2005 and the only positive comment I could find is that they pay on time. A red flag was that they hire newbies and require that you go to an MT chat room and send the audio to another MT to listen to when you have to leave a blank before sending it to QA. There was also a comment that you are required to read all the comments in the chat room. Can anyone confirm this is the case? If so, it sounds like they use the seasoned MT ...

I just started a job using Emdat Inscribe, and my footpedal I ordered hasn't come in yet, so I have been using the function keys to play audio. I have been doing this for about a week now with no problem, but today I log in to work though and the keys are no longer working. The only way I can get the audio to play is by using the mouse. Anyone know why this may be? I haven't changed any of the settings, so I am not sure why they won't work now. TIA. ...
