Any recent info on this company? I tried to take their test this morning but the links to the sample files are not working anymore.

I only did 3 or 4 jobs and decided it was not the right thing for me. They dictations are VERY difficult. There are large focus groups where everyone is speaking over the top of one another, and you have to try and decipher what they are saying, who is saying what, and label them by "speaker 1," "speaker 2," etc. I would have never been able to make $$ there, but that was just my experience. The jobs are all in a pool that is first come, first serve, so the easier ones, like job interviews, got taken immediately.

GT is not worth the paltry money they are offering - for this type of work! nm

I've done a few jobs for them. It is a nice change from MT. The pay is on time, once a week.

I use it to fill in my slow/nonexistant periods at my MT job.

The work is very cumbersome, tiring, and pay is very low, but if you pick and choose and find a file you feel comfortable with, it is tolerable. I am just starting to use Dragon with it, so at least not near as much typing.

I just started with Rev and what I love is the ability to work when and if I want and as much or little as I want. I am just using this to supplement a full-time job, but the problem I have encountered are horrible audio, crosstalk(people talking over each other) and it is extremely cumbersome and tiring. Is there a MT company out that has a similar set up for medical dictations - in that I mean they will allow you IC status with no set schedule like Rev?

I worked for Rev for about 3 weeks. Very low pay, tedious work, and no help from expansions since the files are all different.

Many of their files are unclear. They do not value their workers. One good thing about them is that they pay on time.

I read the posts below on the difference between an IC and an employee. However, in applying to what was reported to be a "good company to work for" recently, I was told of the schedule I needed to be "willing" to work, as well as the rate I would paid, even though I thought it was low. Get paid not so well for VR work on time with small PTO paid for part-time, but accounts have chunks of good work suddenly removed from the queue as I am working and older, undesirable work left for "me," and am very disappointed.
