Encompass--how do you get a job with this company!!! - MTapplied

I have applied for a job with Encompass and have not heard a response. Is this an actual company? I cannot seem to find anything about them good or bad. Are there any MTs working for Encompass and what is your exprience. Should I call them or move on?

Yes, they are a real company but from what I remember their pay way very, very low!

Just do a search on this site, through the archives, etc. Someone asks this same question periodically and the answer is always the same. If you want a job with them, you will have to do all the calling, pursuing, etc. The recruiter is hopeless. In response to the other answer so far, I thought the pay was absolutely average for this industry (which is sad). They are moving toward more and more VR. Don't know if that is a factor. I chose another company, but they seemed a 100% average transcription company to me.

To me it was well worth it. They are a very nice company to work for, extremely professional and up front with everything that goes on. I am trying to get used to the VR and trying to work up my daily totals, so I am working extra right now with other jobs, but I have enjoyed working for them. Have been there since February.

I worked for a month then left. Was not a great experience. Just as soon as you get used to an account for a few days they want you to learn a different one, and pay was less than I earned 15 years ago! I did not feel it was worth it at all, in fact, total waste of time.

I tested with both and know I did well (lots of experience with this stuff) but have heard nothing back from Probity and got a letter of interest from Encompass, which I responded to, then NADA. Has anyone actually been able to move forward recently with getting a job at either place?! Something new that's being instituted since our recent acquisition by Nuance, so maybe Focus is using it already? Looks like a way to get even pickier about QA, in my opinion, which our incentives are based upon. I've been really happy about the way Encompass has done QA up until this time.
