Does anybody care to share about Accentus - niteowl

Or should I say does anybody like working for them?

Keep looking - WC

I left after less than 2 months. Scheduling software (and scheduler) were ridiculously annoying. My account never had enough work and I was unable to get a secondary (hadn't been there long enough). My manager apparently didn't get the memo that communication is helpful to keep things running smoothly. I emailed up the food chain and was met with even more incompetence; however, this could describe any of the big MTSOs now. I'm sorry to be such a downer, but there isn't anything nice to say about Accentus. Good luck wherever you decide to go.

I had the same experience with not enough work to get a secondary... - Ex Accentus Too

yet not able to meet line requirements during my shift without one. I agree about the scheduling, as well. This is the first company I worked for where your supervisor would write you up for not meeting line counts but couldn't get you a secondary or manage your work flow at all - that all had to come from the scheduler. You couldn't make any changes to your schedule - even flexing - that would be approved more than 2 days in advance when you were new. I could understand that if they were super busy, but when I was flexing every day for a week to make my line counts yet didn't know until 2 days before if I could move my shift ahead 4 hours to go out of town for my mother's birthday celebration, I was exceptionally put off by the scheduling system. It was definitely all in favor of the company.

Not for me - Disappointed

I left after 3-4 weeks, there was plenty of work for me but all the extra was just a pain. Scheduling software is just plain stupid and the scheduling person did not communicate and was rude at that. Not a lot of communication and this new account was ill set up for the MT. have to keep a log of all files done. Get a 25 minute report and spend 15 minutes trying to find the CC docs, and that counts against your "productive time" so if you dont get the 8 hours "productive" you have to work over until your little window says you have it. My first score was 96% and I got a note saying that was below, but then you try getting a good score when you dont get any feedback on any report for 2 weeks and cant look at past reports and there are no examples given. I was just ticked as I pride myself as being a very good MT.

I feel like I could have wrote this exact post myself. I experienced everything exactly as you have described. I was highly disappointed as I was very excited to get hired. I think I lasted four weeks out of training, and that was hating and dreading it every single morning!!

I work here and I guess I am the exception. Most of the things posted are true and especially the first few months trying to get a secondary account with all of their rules is very difficult. I have been lucky with my accounts and supervisors and don't run out of work very often. I do though have the same issues with the amount of bookkeeping required and the scheduling. I just don't see a lot else out there. I guess it depends on your accounts and supervisors as to whether or not you can make it here. I have heard good things about the other side of Accentus, the clinic side. The industry sure has changed over the last 5-10 years!

Definitely one to stay away from - nm

I quit within hours - Ugh

The minute I received the message from On-Time that Accentus has purchased the company I turned in my notice effective immediately. They off-shore and that's a company I will not work for, plus the pay was down to about 1/8th of what I had made for 11 years with On-Time.

I love working for them. - AFMomMT

I haven't had a problem working with them. They have been timely with email responses, good work flow. My company was aquired by them and things really have not changed much. Just wanted to add a positive into this bc it seems like all negative, and my experience with them has been a great one so far...would recommend them to fellow MTs.

The VR cannot even understand these ESLs, so I am not understanding why they would be placed in VR.  I mean really, this VR sucks.  It leaves out a lot of easy words that it didn't seem to catch on the English speaking docs also.  I seem to be spending a lot of time typing these ESL VR jobs instead of editing them.  Thanks for any input.  ...

Anyone working at Transform care to share your experience with this company.  I have never done editing before but I do have about 14 years oncology experience.  Is there enough work?  I would much rather do straight transcription, but it is getting more difficult every week to even find jobs hiring for it.  Also what is their pay scale for doing editing.  Do they have any straight transcription?  Thanks for your help. ...

I'm curious if it is "business as usual" across the board or did that depend on what accts we worked on.  For me it has been business as usual when there is business.  I have run out of work more in the past 2 months than I did the 3+ years that I worked for JLG.  Not sure where the work is going but I have some guesses.  I'm also extremely anxious about when all the punishments kick in for us valued MTs.  I for one do not wish to be rewarded.  I think MQ ...

I am looking for a FT job with benefits and steady work.  I am considering applying to these 2 companies so I am hoping some will share their experiences good and bad so I can have something to compare to.  I currently am working on eScription through a local hospital as an IC so I wanted to apply at companies that I knew had eScription as I feel I am most productive on this platform. ...

I was asked to take the transcription test for the above company, but can't figure out how to control the speed or turn the sound down.  My foot pedal doesn't work with this one.  Does anyone know how to do this?  I have sent them an email asking, but guess they don't have the time to answer.  Would appreciate any help given.  Thx. Accentus--Ambulatory Care
Feb 09, 2013

Would like to hear from anyone who took the transcription test for the above company in regard to how you actually can play the sound files.  My foot pedal would not work with their voice files.  I would click on the start button and the dictation would start and just keep going.  I could not pause, stop it, or anything else insofar as controlling it so I could actually type anything.  I e-mailed them with questions but never heard anything back until hours later in the day and they said I ...

Accentus Acute Care
Mar 23, 2013

Does anyone know why Accentus Acute Care seems to always have the same job ad hiring for acute care MTs that pays a sign-on bonus?  It seems as though either they never fill these positions or they are so difficult nobody stays.  I would be interested in applying, but the last time I tried to apply with them on the ambulatory side, I could not get the voice file to work.  Is this even worth applying for?  What is their cpl rate and do they pay for spaces?  Thanks for any ...

Accentus Acute Care Or Brietner Transcription
Apr 20, 2012

So, I've been offered a job with both Accentus and Brietner Transcription. I have done my research on both companies, but really struggling to pick one. I really don't want to make the wrong decision. Seems from doing my homework, the potential to make more is at Accentus, but Brietner employees seem pretty happy there too. Can anyone shed any light on what it's like to work for either company? I would be very grateful!! ...

Jul 30, 2012

Because I'm failing to see it's superiority over DQS 6.  None of the features seem to work right on it, and even the ASR, although still a wreck, was better in DQS 6.  For example, DQS 7 ASR puts in headings every time it hears the word plan or medication, etc.  It also fails to put any commas in when there is a sentence listing something.    Just thought it would be helpful if somebody shared something they liked about DQS 7 that DQS 6 didn't have.  ...

Most Saint hospitals and others actually operate as non-profits, and for what they are screwing us over in taxes unpaid, they can afford to help out folks with their bills and still give their CEOs generous stock options and obscene salaries! I'm interested in figuring out the average VR lines per day an MT can average with M*M as well as how many straight typing lines you get per day.  I know this is dependent on a lot of different factors like account and the skill of the MT but, if you are willing to share, I would love for people to post how many lines per day you average on VR and straight typing. Recently someone here mentioned that the top producers in their region were producing 1200 VR lines per day.  I would ...
