Digital Transcription Systems in OK - strawberry

Posted: Oct 07, 2011

Has anyone applied with them this week?  If so, have you heard back from them?  Their ad says they need 20 transcriptionists immediately...

Just wondering as I haven't heard back.  :p

I got a reply - jannylea

I applied and got an email back on Thursday evening giving me the details of the job and asking me if I was still interested and if so to reply by email and they would send test files. Got the test files yesterday evening and it was quite easy. Submitted them last night but have not heard anything back yet. The email said the job would start immediately.

I sent an Email asking if this was straight typing and/or VR and no one has responded as of yet. Jannylea did they say it was straight typing or typing/VR? I really would like to find something with straight typing, but that is almost a thing of the past anymore.

The email was not very detailed. Just said they assign each MT certain doctor/doctors and not a work pool. TAT is 22 hours and the pay is .07 per line. Did not mention anything about VR and I did 5 test files, none of which included VR.

I would love for it to by straight typing too. I think you're right, straight typing is a thing of the past. I'm doing it now for etransplus, but Medquist just bought them out :(
Sounds like it has to be straight typing at - 7 cpl, no way is it VR NM

where did you read it was 7 cents a line? - strawberry

I didn't read in their ad or in the email anything that said what they paid. Maybe I overlooked it?

Correction to above posts - jannylea

Sorry about the above posts but I messed up with my reply. I had actually tested with Transcription Solutions who also needed 20 MTs to start immediately. Although I did get an invitation to test with Digital Transcription Systems in OK but I only have wireless internet through my cell phone and was told it was not compatible with their software. Sorry for the confusion. I have been out of the MT work field for about a year due to lack of reliable high speed internet and have just gotten it back but with wireless and have been submitting resumes like crazy and testing for many different companies so my head is kind of spinning right now on keeping their names all straight.

I just got an email from them :) - strawberry

I'm going to take the test and hope for the best!

same to you! :-)

When they say not compatible with wireless, - does that include using SM

a router through Verizon (for instance) to get connected to internet? Could someone explain this to me please?

Do you mean a broadband card through Verizon which plugs directly into your computer and uses cell phone towers for signals? Because a "router" in its traditional definition is a device which allows more than one computer in the home to have access and/or wireless access. If that makes sense.

FYI, some of these companies, unless they are operating through VPNs and cannot do that through dial-up or satellite internet, really will not be privy as to what you are using. It will be you who will notice.

Back to DTS, I heard from them, but I have yet to locate a website for them or any information. Has anyone else??

I actually picked up and dropped off tapes and transcription every day. They have now switched to digital records using a tem ...
