Has anyone else ever been contacted by DTS and never to be heard from again?

Yes, I had that happen last year when they advertised a position for which I applied. A representative from the company called me, interviewed me, and then said that before my official offer was made, the operations manager or owner would follow up with me at a certain time to meet me via phone and discuss a few things. I waited for the call which never came. I called to find out what happened, and I was told he was out sick. Now, I'm assuming he thought my time wasn't valuable enough for him to have someone let me know that he would not keep our appointment. I was told he would get back with me when he returned. He didn't call, and two weeks later, I called again to follow up. I was told by the original contact person that she would find out if they were still filling the position or were "going in a different direction." She never called me to let me know. The entire process was very frustrating. I'm glad I didn't get the job, though, because when you start out with a headache, you probably end up with one.

DTSOK this week on a test I recently applied/tested for. Because of the time zone, I called them back today and was introduced to a couple of other accounts also, and a manager of one of the accounts should be calling me later today...we'll see what happens.

I'm sorry that they misled you, too. But I will say that I'm very glad that the people on here who think we don't give each other reliable information about companies and that any negative comments about companies are from disgruntled moaners, are WRONG. We do try to help each other out by giving the real skinny on these companies, and I will contniue to do so. Telling the truth is not about complaining! :)

Hi, I need some advice. I run a small transcription business (me, myself and I) and my doctors are still using casettes (I know, they are die-hards). I am trying to switch over to digital and need some advice as to the best equipment to use. I only have about five doctors so I don't want' to go into too much expense. Does anybody know of a good software program or system where the doctor can dictate into a digital recorder from his office, upload it to my computer and that I could transcribe using a footpedal (that I already have) and then upload it and send it back to the doctor?
