Anyone with current info on Breitner? s/m - lookingfornewjob

They are hiring but before I go through testing, anyone currently working thee? Are you happy? Do they treat MTs decent? Pay on time? Anything negative? I really, really need to get away from Nuance before I lose my mind.

I have for almsot 2 years now worked for Breitner on the weekends (saturday and sunday) from 4 till 12 (sometimes longer). The pay for weekends is .0825 cents per line. Pay is always on time (one pay period behind). I never run out of work because I have 2 accounts (one is backup). Dictators are generally excellent (there are a few difficult ones but they have at least on the weekends good editors/QA who do give you feedback -- so you can save as a "normal" for the next time. Good technical support as well -- I call on the weekends -- only a couple of times has this happend and their "technical support guy" Marc was on the phone to me almost immediately to get the software running again.

Overall I would say this is a good company to work for.

Wow! I may be looking for a transcription job again before the end of the year. Breitner sounds good. I am glad it has been a good experience for you. The pay is 18% higher than the pay I was getting for a job where I worked 2nd shift with NO differential for either shift or weekends. It grinds you down. Glad you posted.

What's going on with Nuance? Bunch of us have been really nervous since they bought out Transcend. All we've seen so far is people being demoted or let go.

If you want to get away from Nuance, and are considering Breitner, you'd be better off staying at Nuance. I worked for Breitner several years ago and was constantly running out of work. Some days I was lucky if I got even half an hour's worth of work done.

Get paid not so well for VR work on time with small PTO paid for part-time, but accounts have chunks of good work suddenly removed from the queue as I am working and older, undesirable work left for "me," and am very disappointed. Is there enough work during 3rd shift? Is the platform easy to use and easy to get your lines in with? How is the health insurance? I saw the premiums for the different levels but didn't see what type of coverage this is (deductible, copays, etc.).
