I am a new graduate and need to find a job! I am also new to this site. I got the site info from a friend that has been doing transcription work for many years. She has given me some leads, but as of now, nothing! It appears that most of these companies wnat 2 or more years experience. Does anyone know how I can start and get some experience? I suppose in anything and not just medical. Experience in transcription is experience, right? ...
I have never seen anyone post anything bad about them, so maybe that it is a good sign? I wouldn't mind the trip to NJ. Any information is appreciated.
Thanks. ...
I dont see any recent postings on All Type out of New Jersey. Does anyone have any experience with this company and if you have was it good or bad? I appreciate your valuable input! ...
After a few days of arguing back and forth with my CCM about feedback issues, audit keeping me from earning full pay, inconsistencies, I finally had a conference call with CCM and QA sup as well. I was angry, admittedly, wanted and was demaning to be taken off 100% for silly "critical feedbacks" (doctor clearly says "if" and you typed "is" CRITICAL FEEDBACK???.) Asked how in the world us MTs can be faulted for cruddy ASR and/or dictator problems! (no answer) Asked if eith ...
Anyone have any experience with TTS? It seems like reviews for all companies are pretty much the same and that there is no light at the end of the tunnel.
...
Anybody ever hear of these people or have experience with them? Their ad says they have plenty of work but can't find anybody to help. That right there set off warning bells. ...
I have become pretty miserable/bored lately. I know its the job itself and I know what the future holds for it, but I can't go back to school right now to try to further my education for something else because I homeschool my kids and that is my first priority. MT is just part time. I've been MT'ing for close to 15 years and have never done any other transcribing. I was just wondering if I wanted to venture out of medical and do general transcription w ...
Does anyone have any experience with USA Medical Transcription? I've read a couple of bad things about them. I don't want to apply to anyone who will treat me like I have been treated. I'm SO close to getting out of transcription and I'm a damn good transcriptionist! ...
Based out of LA. Appears they do both general and medical transcription and you must have a list of software. Looking for info on rates and whether the company is good to work for i.e., nice people who treat MTs with respect like we should be treated and communication. Thanks! ...
I had never heard of them before, and there do not seem to be many posts in the archives about them, but then again, maybe that is a good thing. Generally, you hear about the bad companies (which I realize is subjective), but not always about the good ones.
Any information is appreciated. Thanks. ...
Has anyone had any experience with this company? I sent my resume for a job posting and was contacted right away. The fishy thing (to me anyway) was that they didn't even want me to TEST for the position! What is that about? EVERY MT position I have EVER been a candidate for has wanted me to test. But nope, I had a phone interview and the next thing I know I am being offered a position. RED FLAG? ...
I've searched the archives and come across ALOT of bad reviews on them (and a few positive ones here and there) but most of them are over a year old.
I'd really like to get some views from MTs that currently or very recently worked for them. I know many companies have changed hands in the last year so things may be completely different now compared to 1+ years ago. Or maybe not. That's what I want to find out. I already know what thier payscale is, but I would like to know ...
I have been transcribing for 30 years mostly orthopedics. I want very much to do acute care transcription. Does anyone think I have a chance to get into it? I feel as though I am at a dead end if I don't do something different to further my career. I feel very qualified to do it. I took a good course from AHDI with cardiology, gastroenterology, orthopedics, and surgeries through Oak Horisons. This was a very well-rounded course and covered everything involved. Thought maybe someone m ...
My neighbor calls me to help her get through the test for the company..Im like really,, if you cant get past the test how the heck are you going to do the job..No I wont help you..Im afraid she used me as a referal and no way would I refer her...A 6-month LPN course doesnt make you a transcriptionist, obviously, since she needed help with the practical part of the test that can all be googled anyway...So tired of people thinking because we work from the house that we are idiots and just typ ...
when I hit the search button, it just takes me to a blank screen. Not sure if it is a problem with the web site or my internet. Anyway, I was thinking I read some time ago that they did not pay for spaces or headers or footers and people were quite upset, but I might have them confused with another company. Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks. ...
Work has slowed down doing transcription in the entertainment business and I work for three companies. I've had discharge summary experience in the past with light radiology. Does anyone know of any companies hiring newbies for MT work? I can't stand not working. Type 85 wpm, use Word and Express Scribe and a digital foot pedal. U.S. citizen. ...
Is there anyone here in MT land that currently works for Summerville Medical Transcription or have you in the past? Curious as to your thoughts about this company. ...
I received a job interview for an IC position with a company called National Medical Transcription with headquarters in New York. Has anybody worked with this company?
My main concern was that the company does not offer direct deposit but rather issues a check via mail. Next concern is a "transparent" means of tallying up productivity for 65 character lines and spaces included. I would appreciate any feedback from present or past contractors. Thank you. ...
Wondered if anyone has any recent experience with this company. Considering an offer but hesitant because of long delays in communication with HR. Thanks.

Hi, I recently spoke to someone from Turn Around Time Transcription. I had found their ad on mtjobs.com. Does anyone have any knowledge of this company? They use the Medrite XL platform and the owner told me all the transcriptionists said it was an easy platform to work on, but then I looked it up and MTs were complaining about the line counts being so low. Any info on either the company or the platform? Thanks,
Kathy ...
Nothing in searching this site or on Internet. Looks like they're paying up to 10 cents per line depending on experience (IC status), but have never heard of them. Thanks for any info. ...
I have searched the board about this company and have seen a lot of people inquire about it, but no response. I saw 1 like and 17 dislikes on their hiring ad and I just wanted to know more about the company. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks ...
I was offered a job with We Type Transcription. The thing is they want me to get a business license, a DBA. The cost in Cook County for everything is $330. So before I invest anything I would like to know about this company. Anyone working for them??? ...
