Any opinions about working for All Type? - sm

I can't search the archives, so I have to ask. I'm interested in anything you know from personal experience or just remember from reading here before. Thanks!

All Type is awesome. I've been working for them since June and have had no problems out of them. They try their best to help you out in any way they can.

Your post sounds interesting. I've decided I want to get back into MT for awhile but for the first time in my career I can't seem to even get a reply to my resume. Mind if I ask a few questions?
1) How much experience did you have when you applied?
2) Do they have consistent work?
3) How is their communication?
4) How about pay, does it seem fair or is it the 6 cpl variety?
TIA

They do not have consistent work, check the archives.
Communication is horrible - you dont get feedback and you only hear from anyone if there is something bad. Questions or needed info takes a long time, if ever, to hear. - you can also check the archives on this as well.
Pay is averge, the same as any other company. They do pay on time and its accurate.
Benefits are ridiculously expensive and you can go to any other MTSO and get them for less - not sure if its because they contribute less than the others, which is my guess, or they are just too lazy to shop around.
All in all, i think it is a rather negative atmosphere, but there are those who like it.

Hmmmmm Seems like the reviews are about the same for all of them. Also seems none are interested in experience or something. Wonder why I don't get a reply to any of my resumes?????

i agree, communication is not the best. work load is good, so far though. i dont like keeping track of my own line though, i'd rather it would just be done automatically. just my 2 cents. good luck :)

It says on All Type that it takes 5 days to apply. Is that right? Why 5 days?

im assuming they mean the application and the testing process combined. it did indeed take about 5 days for me. the recruiter contacts you, gives you a site to test at, you return the tests (i had 3 files i believe) and then contacts you for an interview.
I am needing to replace my computer-- my desktop is so slow it is really nonfunctional and I fried my laptop. My question is, I would prefer to buy another laptop but if I wanted to do work from home, does a laptop really suffice? Is it possible to hook up a wireless mouse and real keyboard to it, and is it possible to connect a foot pedal to it? If not, I will need to look at desktops.
Thanks for any advice anyone can give out there! ...
Anyone working for Silent Type and getting work? I have heard from a few people that they never have work for this company and that there has been no work since the beginning of 2014? Thank you for your information. ...
Wondering if anyone out there has any feedback about working for Silent Type? I have done the test and have been told I will interview in two weeks when the position becomes available... I think there is a mandatory 2 day training in NJ? Anyone done this and survived? How's the pay? I was considering going to work for MedQuist because they are taking over one of my current IC accounts but after reading in the MedQuist section I think I'll skip that one. Th ...
I would like to work "outside" of home but it is quite a struggle getting the okay from my husband. The transcription is pretty unbearable to me. Anyone else have that concern? ...
I have an odd question. If a US trained Medical Transcriptionist works from home (in the U.S.), but then decides to spend 1/2 the year (or more) in a foreign country, is it possible (ethical/legal) to continue working as an MT while in that country? The MT would keep the US address, and bank account. All paychecks would continue to be direct deposited into current U.S. bank account. MT would continue to pay U.S. taxes on all monies earned.

I have a new pet - a dog - who wants to sit next to me while I work. Does anyone have any ideas how to "update" my chair so this is possible. She's not very big, only about 15-16 lbs but I have no idea how to adapt my chair to make this possible. TIA. ...
I went to their website for the current job posting but my security software kicked me out of their site.
Can anyone give me info on working there, good, bad, ugly???
Thanks in Advance! ...
I know I am not the only one working 2 jobs or more. Between them I am scheduled 68 hours per week. I have them spread out enough I have "long breaks" in between to fix supper, take a little me time out around the lunch hour and housework kind of gets slighted. Watching TV of a night with hubby sleeping in his recliner is the main thing I am "missing out on". I don't spend as much money because I simply don't have the time to go out shopping other th ...
And to think, I actually left medquist to work for DSG.
Now they're forcing me to work for medquist again, and trying to convince me it's going to be a good thing?
I love to know if any DSGers are actually happy about this...

Does anyone know of any companies that hire on a super PT or PRN basis? I am looking for some backup whenever my FT position gets slow. I comb the job postings here regularly and on another site, but really haven't come across anything as of late.

how do you keep track of all the different account specs for each job? I was wondering because I am employed with one job but the different clinics I work for each have different specs. Thank you. ...
Than everyone else on here! I'm very happy here. I have no problem with meeting quotas, have no issues with PTO, like the matching (up to 4%) 401K, and for the past 3 weeks have had OT everyday & have worked around 55-60 hours every week with a corresponding very hefty paycheck. ...
I was informed that I have lost my job due to some VA contracts being lost. I was just wondering if anyone else was told the same thing. I enjoyed working for them even though it was VBC. The company that is taking the lost accounts over now I find out they are or were for sale. I have been on a Merry-Go-Round for 5 years since my hospital outsourced. Any info would help me in making a decision. ...
