Any info on Keystrokes...the good, the bad, the ugly? - MT15

Any recent info on Keystrokes would be appreciated!

I've been there about a year. The money is crappy, but the same as anywhere else. I've gotten a raise, so that can happen. Really like my account manager. I actually seem to be valued. Good luck.

You start at a crazy low rate, but that is true of anywhere now. You can go up from there.

I had a mixed experience at Keystrokes, but it was not entirely the company's fault. I had a very nice supervisor who worked closely with me during the initial phase of my employment. The main problem I had was that the platform they used did not play nice with Windows 7, which is what my machine was running at the time. They tried several ways to make it work and then decided they wanted to install a virtual Windows XP on my computer. This was after about a week of trying to make things work, and I decided not to continue with them.

It has been my experience that not every MTSO is a good fit for every MT. Each of us have certain expectations and needs and not every company can meet those. I believe you just have to give it a try and see if it is a good fit for you personally... Just my 2 cents' worth.

I have been there a few years and I do really like it. My coordinator is a wonderful person, helps me out if I need it. They leave you alone most of the time. I am very thankful.

This company has been around and has done it's share of hurtful job practices, yet there is a need to work and somehow this job has come to where you have no choice. If you keep your blinders on you maybe can last a while. Don't count on it as a career.

I worked for Keystrokes from 6 months. They started off great but about mid way through that time went down hill. You rarely get Jill, the human service person to contact you when you have an issue. She loves to avoid or send out form emails that does not address what you need. Did have occasion to where I ran out of work at times. QA staff is not consist. My last QA score was 98.97 so damn here 99% and I was told that was not good enough.

KS used to be a great place to work in the 2000s. The owner and top management are reasonable and fair, but mid management is another story.

There are some happy MTs, the "charmed circle" we used to call them. They get the pick of the good accounts. If somehow you manage to get on the good side of management, this could be you. If, however, you have any complaints, you will be blacklisted and you might as well start packing your gear. Work will dry up and nothing by crappy accounts with no one ever answering your e-mails. Or if they do, it is of no help. Try it out if you have absolutely nothing else to do. But even some of the members of the "charmed circle" got the hell out of there.

You hit the nail on the head about the "charmed circle." I was in it as a lead until due to a family crisis had to go back to regular MT. Picked on by insensitive HR, hounded by CSS for ONE minute overtime, and don't get me started on one of the coordinators. Tip-top management plays fair, but their mid-management underlings are unfair and heartless (with a few exceptions). I truly wish the old crew the best, but the new mgt I have hardly anything good to say about.

I've been there for almost 2 years and am trained on 2 accounts already, but they are asking me to cross-train on another escription account. It starts with a B and ends with an R. Does anyone know anything about PMT, Inc. in ARIZONA (or whatever else they are known by)? What is the good, the bad, and the ugly with Diskriter? I am looking for information about pay, benefits, how strict they are when it comes to schedules, management, available work, etc. If you are new there, how was the interview? Was there a lot of rah-rah gibberish about how great they are to reel you in or was it professional and straight to the point? KS seems to be getting lower and lower in the popularity with emplooyees test. I worked for them once but left for the reasons everyone is talking about. There was no communication. The owner was never truthful and everyone is afraid of her because of her horrible temper tantrums. The accounts are overstaffed - you might get put on another account but it will be overstaffed too. I've actually worked for them in the past, horrible experience with my team lead - who sucked, and my account, which was an overflow account - which they didn't tell me when they hired me. So needless to say, I sat most of the time without work. So I didn't last long there, as we obviously need work to make money.
