Does anyone have information about Accentus? - sm
Posted: Oct 18, 2011
I received an email that they saw my resume on this board and want me to apply. I've never heard of them so I'd appreciate any info, good, bad or otherwise. Thanks.
I was coming here to ask what people's - sm

experiences have been with this company. I know they were Zylomed and Transolutions, but now they combined to make Accentus.
What I know - Recruiter just called

They were three companies.
Accentus - Canada (IC)
Transolutions - Acute Care in the US (Employee)
Zylomed - Ambulatory Care in the US (IC)
Now all Accentus.
They seemed nice and line rates were decent but they are production based. Employee positions with differentials for difficulty and shifts. Probably not for anyone who just wants to do the minimum required. The recruiter stated that they have plenty of work and told me what openings she had that would be best for my experience and preferred schedule. I am waiting to talk with a supervisor on a clinic account that is Mon-Fri with 12hr scheduling.
I will be glad to have work! I hope this helps some. Good luck.
Sorry more specifically - me again

I applied for the acute care, the girl I talked to said they were Transolutions formerly.

I am very happy at Accentus/Zylomed. They are nice to work for and there are exclusive accounts, which I like because it is my work alone as long as I keep the TAT. I am an IC for them, but there is employee status available. The platform is user friendly, Emdat/Inscribe. The one minus is the low cpl rate for QT lines. It is only 1 cpl and depending on the account, this can add up. Other than that, they are a good company to work for. Hope this helps!!

It might just be headers or it might include templated work like cataract extraction reports. They are paid at a lower rate, usually 1 to 1.5 cents a line, than transcribed work.

Expect the QT lines to make up at least half of your line count daily, possibly more, they template very very heavily. Can't make any money unless you take on tons of work.
I also am very happy there. It totally depends - on the accounts as to

how many QT lines there are, but they really don't make a huge difference for me. I would take the QT lines to work for them over pretty much any of the MTSOs out there. I love having the exclusives, but I could see it being hard for someone who is used to working a strict schedule switching over to having TAT that they have to work around.
I am considering applying at Accentus as I have been working as an IC but my family really need insurance benefits and it also says they offer a 401K plan. I am approaching 50 years old and the thought of not having retirement or good insurance has become a reality. Can anyone share how much the cost of their insurance for family is? Thanks. ...
plotting my escape from M*Modal. I was kind of surprised the practicum was all proofreading. Is that all they have? How is pay? Platform easy? Have 401K match? Lots of work on weekends? Any and all reviews appreciated, even bad. Thanks! ...
Any information on Hypertype? Good, bad, and ugly, pay scale, platform? TIA. I have passed the test which I took a little more than a week ago. They want to set up a phone interview but I want to know upfront what current ICs think. Are they flexible. Do you have a schedule. Saw through the archives that the pay is low but how low is low? TIA. ...
Hi. I haven't been working for Accentus very long, but long enough that I should be meeting the 200 lph requirement for SR, but I'm still really struggling to do it. I was wondering if anyone else had that experience or if maybe I am entering my time incorrectly or something. I consistently average 165 lph for straight transcription so I feel like 200 is something I shouldn't be struggling so hard to meet, but I am. I love Accentus so far so I don't wa ...
I just received a job offer from accentus as well as from NTS. This will be my first position as an MT since graduation. Any advice on what job offer I should take? ...
I'm considering going with one of these companies and wondering how they compare. Would appreciate any information from any current/former employees of either company. Thank you! ...
ask the moderator(s) to remove all my hateful messages. Forgive me. I was very hungry and very stressed. Things have improved dramatically. Thank you all! ...
Feeling down and out today, was removed from an account. My 4 weeks on QA was up, did my best, but seems like they want 100% no errors. Anyone else feel my pain?? Its a blow to my confidence, been doing MT for 10 years, I have another job test to take, so hopefully will get another job soon. ...
I would be doing cliniic work because I want the flexible 12-hour schedule to fit around a part time job working directly for a small hospital. I may end up being bored, but I want to give it a try. How is the clinic work and how is the Apex system? I have previously worked on DocQspeech and Escription. I really want no more than two accounts and to be mostly just left alone unless I screw something up. Is this possible with Accentus? ...
Medical Transcription just keeps going downhill. They expect more and pay less. I work for Accentus now and actually love my account and got my pay up to 5 cents for SR and 9 cents for transcription, but I have to work 10 hours a day just to make ends meet. They pay based on how many lines you type per hour so it can change every pay period. It's better than what I had at Transcend. The only thing is that my supervisor is a narcissist, very mean, tears you down ...
Does anyone work for either of these companies? I've been thinking about applying to them but I don't know much about them. They sound good on their websites. Thanks. ...
Hi everyone. I just applied today with Accentus. Does anyone know approximately how long it takes them to respond if they want to interview you ?? The web site said someone would call if I met their criteria.
Thanks everyone ! ...
Looking at these 2 companies closely and wanting to make a change very soon. I've always heard great things about Amphion, and applied with them once but didn't accept the offer because the pay was a bit lower. I haven't heard much on them lateley so if anyone works for them currently I'd love to hear about it.
Also curious about Accentus. Their add claims to start VR at 0.055. Has anyone recently received an offer from them, or curr ...
I am wondering if Accentus uses the MTtest for their testing requirements. I am leary of taking a test with that platform, as I don't believe it is quite "honest." So before I "sign in" to try with Accentus, I would like to know ahead of time so I am not wasting my valuable time. any enlightenment would help. tia ...
Hey guys, I just got done testing with Accentus and I've been searching the archives on here for some info that I am not able to find. Do they provide you a computer or do you use your own? Thanks in advance for any and all responses. ...
