ASAP/Medwrite - does anyone have information about this company

Just wondering about this company,.  I received an offer, via their contract and pay was finally mentioned on the last page of the contract, which was decent.  I was scheduled to have the software installed last week, and there were problems with thei installation  (really not sure if it was on my end or theirs), but accordng to the tech, it was problems on their end.  I was told to call back yesterday (Wednesday), to install the software.  I did and was informed the tech was "out on a family emergency."  I called back again today and was told that he would call me in a half hour. 

I do understand that people get  sick, etc or have family emergencies, but I just wish that I could have received an email to the effect that this particular person was out.  They have several people that answer phones there when I call this particular number, and I just cannot believe that one person alone is responsible for installing the software.  I have been waiting for over a week to be able to get this software installed, and yet, when I call or send emails to the company, I am percieved as being a "pest." 

I wish that these companies would realize that our time is just as valuable as theirs.

I'd like to know more about this company also. I sent them a resume a few weeks ago, and then earlier this week received an E-mail asking if I was still interested, as they had a new account and wanted someone with experience with "Texas doctors." What does that mean? Do they think we all drawl or what? I told them I was interested, and then got an E-mail with the direct deposit and contract attachments. Did you send them your direct deposit back? I'm kind of leery about that, and the address on the bottom is in Las Vegas, not in CA. If you have any more info, I would appreciate it - thanks in advance!

I did send the paperwork to them earlier this week. The numbers that I have called have both been 714 area code, which is in the Los Angeles area and not Las Vegas, which is 702 area code. The person that I orginally contacted when I applied was in Florida I believe. I have placed several phone calls to the company as well as emails. I was to have had the software installed a week ago yesterday, but apparently there were problems, and I was told to call back this past Wednesday, but the tech support person was out of the office. I called them yesterday, with a follow up email to the CEO of the company in which he told the tech support person to call me today (Thursday), which he did not. It is about 11 am on the West Coast (although everyone I spoke to has an Indian accent), so I am giving it a bit more time. But for now, that's all I know.

Thanks for that info. This is the first time I am looking into work past my local area. I have been working on my own for the past 10+ years, but my biggest account (six general surgeons) cut me off when they went to EMR and forgot to tell me after several years of service that I was no longer needed. Still a little bitter about that one. Anyway, thanks again.

When using Shorthand, I type a word and then if I have to put a comma after the expanded work the word comes up again. Example: I type my abbreviation for "however" and put a comma after it and it looks like this:  "howeveowever," This happens with every word that gets expanded and then I type a comma after.
