Needing a job asap - broke MT

I am desperately needing a job...pdq. I gave notice and my landlord is telling me it was not enough (was supposed to give 30-day notice). I told her it could not be helped, that I lost my job and had no money at all. I had internet service with a company that disconnected me 2 months ago. Needless to say, I need a job PDQ! Thanks for any info on any good company hiring.

I am truly sorry that you are going through this. I went through something similar and now am staying with a dear friend and her family until I can "get back on my feet," as well as moving to an area where the cost of living is much less. I know that you also posted on another board about your predicament and I gave you a couple of suggestions there. Unfortunately, about the only thing you can really do is starting sending out the resumes and hope for a quick response from an MTSO. The job hunt is extremely frustrating, but no one is going to "hand you a job on a silver platter." You have to take the bull by the horns and run with it -- so to speak. If you land a job that you don't particularly feel is a good fit, don't quit that job until you find something better. The company that I recently started with seems to really care about their MTs. Last week we received an email from the owner stating that one of the MTs who had been with the company for approximately 10 years had lost her battle with cancer. Not many MTSOs do that kind of thing nowadays. Good luck in your search and things WILL get better :)

When using Shorthand, I type a word and then if I have to put a comma after the expanded work the word comes up again. Example: I type my abbreviation for "however" and put a comma after it and it looks like this: "howeveowever," This happens with every word that gets expanded and then I type a comma after.
