Very common now, which is not common to us who have been in the industry over 20 years. I absolutely was ready for an IC position, like you, until they brought up the Wonderlic test. ARE YOU KIDDING me? Not for working at home. I think the interviewer knew it was undesirable because she didn't miss a beat when I said no to that--it's not necessary and I find it invasive. She said the company owner required it. Nope.
