If you plan to do this as extra or supplemental income, it may not be a total bust. If you are relying on this as a career to support yourself on, you need to look into something other than medical transcription. This has largely become a minimum wage job unless you can find a straight typing position which is rare.
I've been doing this for 20 years, and just to give you an idea, I went from making decent money in years past to almost qualifying for food stamps last year working full time.
Only positive for me is I'm getting out soon. Went back to college for something completely different and can't wait to leave MT behind. It's a dead end.
