Positive? haha - Seasoned MT

I have 40 years under my belt as an MT and 32 of those years working from home. I still do straight typing jobs and get paid decently, but those jobs are getting harder and harder to come by. Most are now VR editing or scribe positions. Scribing however, is very different from straight typing MT type work. You will make 8 cents per line on average (if you're lucky enough to find a straight typing job), VR editing, you will make 3-4 cents per line on average and for medical scribing, probably about $10-15 hour.

In addition, MTSOs (Medical transcription service owners), want people who can basically hit the ground running and do not need a lot of training.

Good luck -- should have done more research and not listened to a recruiter.
