If you have ever used VR yourself, you have to train it to your voice. You say something, VR types it out. If it doesn't get it right, you correct it, say it again and keep correcting it until the VR gets it right with your voice. Simply typing and correcting VR does not teach it anything. The VR has to hear the word and see the correction and hear the word and see the correction before it will make a change.
