time and MTs were never respected; we were considered clerical workers, in the same league as receptionists and file clerks even though we were supposed to have the same knowledge as a doctor so we could correct their mistakes. I always hoped that would change and we would get more respect, but instead we fell further and now are just proofreaders being replaced by computers and people who don't speak enough English to put out a good medicolegal document. At this point, I'm mostly just PO'd at myself for not getting out 10 years ago when outsourcing began in earnest.
