I would suggest that when she starts to talk about it, just quietly leave the room. She may get the idea after a bit.

I'm curious, has she always talked about her bowels, or is this something new in her older years? There are just some people who just always talk about their bowels for some reason. If it has been her chronic behavior even when she was younger, then she's just one of "those." If it's new behavior, it's worth a discussion as to why she's so concerned.
