It's a toughie - going thru this

Posted: Oct 31st, 2021 - 5:09 am In Reply to: I moved in with my 83 YO mother to help take care of - her. All she talks about is her bowels

It's an emotional roller coaster, some days more so than others. My siblings and I just try to have a little more patience and compassion for Mom and do whatever we can to ease her anxiety about whatever pain or discomfort she may be feeling in her body. Yes, a lot of times she gives us way too much information, haha! But I figure it's important enough to her that she's wanting to tell us about it. Usually it's something self-limiting or eased by a simple home remedy. I've heard about the roles reversing with our elderly parents and I think this must be where we're at now.
