However, they refuse to let go and continue to chase the pipe dream that transcription is alive and well and that things will somehow miraculously change. Dragon and EHRs were the nails in the coffin, and Dragon is pretty darn good these days. If you review the data from the US Department of Labor Statistics, you will see the decline rate in medical transcription jobs. Your former job status and salary are never going to be restored, wake up and smell the coffee.
