I think the demand for MT services will increase - but I am skeptical

that it'll lead to better paid transcription jobs here in the states. There's been far too great a commitment and investment made in the advancement of technology to do the work that humans do. AI is getting better and better at replacing humans. MT has already experienced huge job losses and pay cuts due to SR over the years. I also think offshoring will probably keep expanding into other countries as well. I just don't think we'll see MT making a comeback in this country.
