Happy with decision for early retirement - Ex-KS

I had always thought I would work on through to my full retirement age -- if MT work held out that long. With the advent of lost accounts due to Epic/Dragon and only part-time available on my preferred platform, though, I decided to file for early retirement and only partially retire. That went pretty well until the middle of 2019 -- having early SS was all that saved me when KS late checks became no checks. I left KS because of the whole no pay fiasco, and with the job market so flooded with experienced MTs, I left the job market altogether. After working for 47 years, I am LOVING total retirement! But I also have a hospital pension that kicks in at 65 so with that, SS, Medicare and no-to-minimal taxes, I will actually be better off than when I worked full time.
