My experience with general and legal is that the transcription itself -- if you are conscientious and do it right, including researching endless locations and names -- takes forever, PLUS you are usually expected to figure out how to deal with and document multiple files and formats, zip files, etc., and the end result is making considerably less than minimum wage. Which is a shame, because I have always found the work itself, when one is actually transcribing, very interesting and enjoyable.
