I'll tip a counter person sometimes if they are very efficient, friendly, etc. It just depends on the situation and how giving I feel. Plenty of businesses have tip jars; some people tip, some don't. I tend to tip more if it's a place I frequent often, like our local pizza joint or the mom and pop bagel shop we go to every weekend. Otherwise I normally don't.

BTW, your MTSO probably charges extra for your STATs, just saying...
