then you're income is going to go down, especially if the work is not there to get the lines. My experience has been to take a job somewhere and there be no work to sustain an income that would allow you to be a sole provider. Then there is the other scenario in which the work is so poor that it shouldn't be on VR to begin with and you spend more time correcting mistakes than you would have typing it. Yeah, I'm still holding my own doing straight typing, but as we all know because of VR, my once 9 to 10 cent a line job has gone to 7 or 8 cents a line. Why I don't know, as the work hasn't changed on my end in that regard either. My income has not changed much, but the amount of time I have to put into it has increased. I can understand how a transcriptionist would have such a substantial drop in income.
