Bummer that didn't work out for you and while I would say, just take something to get away from this place, I can understand your decision and a huge red flag would be the interviewer getting so upset with you. Does an applicant ever do that when they don't get a job? I think not. Well maybe at home, but not directly.
It is hard to actually make a break from this job, but you put yourself out there and can go on from there. Don't give up, keep at it. I know it is tiring. It took me two years and 3 jobs before I found something, so it ain't easy.
