When Mmodal lost the lawsuit, transcriptionists did get a settlement. I got around $400 along with that crappy reference site (which I never used).
And just because you didn't hear about lawsuits being won doesn't mean they weren't. After all, you hadn't heard about the monetary settlements 12 or so years ago either.
