What MT was actually trained to edit voice rec?
Most of us one day were just thrown into editing. Here ya go, edit this report, with no training and zero concern whether it was something we'd be proficient at performing.
Editing is a completely different animal than typing. It requires a different skillset, one which I find some, if not most, MTs just are not proficient with performing.
I'd love to know the number of errors that are found post an edited report, most of which are never even looked at again, so we'll probably never know how many errors are actually found in a nonaudited "edited" report. The number would probably be surprisingly high.
