You should go to see a navigator - they can really help

They can get you set up on the best (and cheapest) plan you are eligible for. I was trying to pick an ACA plan and they all seemed so bad, low premiums but high deductibles and no copays, went to the navigator and she put me onto a completely different thing I was not aware of.

It costs $50/month but for that you actually do get affordable health care, by which I mean copays that are reasonable and you don't have to chip away at a huge deductible just to go to the doctor.

Probably this was because I was laid off and without income for awhile too, but it's worth a shot.
