Fired or laid off - sm

I know one or the other is coming for me, how many others? After almost 20 years here, the massive amount of NJA lately in my BoB. Why does it bother me so much to be either one when I know in my heart it is a blessing in disguise. Why am I shaking and sick to my stomach to finally be rid of MM? How many others have been fired within the past 2-3 weeks, anybody got any numbers? Has anyone been laid off? I know they are probably avoiding lay offs because of unemployment.
