Have I Miscalculated? - Sad MT

Could someone who is working for one of the outsourcing companies fill me in on something?  

I figured out that I would be making $7.20 an hour with no benefits at my current average line rate if I switched over to one of these companies.

Can that possibly be correct?  I am making in the range of 16 to 18 an hour plus benefits right now.
