I don't care what they say, you will not double your lines with voice. I could transcribe between 200 and 300 LPH and I have never come close to 400 LPH on voice.
With that said, if you get decent accounts though, you can do okay, not great, but okay. I found voice very tedious and time consuming and it took me a long time to learn how to maneuver around in it and what to look for. Also you have to pay attention.
Any MT will say, they would rather do straight than voice, but unfortunately that isn't the case any longer. If I even can get what I used to get with straight transcription, with the most being 300 lines per hour at 4 cpl, that is $12.00. Do the math and decide.
All you can do is try, but hope for the best and expect the worst.
