If anything, coding should be easier to offshore than MT. MT was the most unlikely profession of them all to succeed offshore because it is so heavily language and grammar based. I am still not convinced they are going to succeed with it. It may all go to scribe or self-type work eventually. But coding requires less language skill and, unfortunately, is a more logical choice to offshore.
I would not wish it on anyone, but that seems to be where it's all headed.
