In TCM (traditional Chinese medicine), the liver is most active between 1 AM and 3 AM. This dovetails with that you wrote.
My hypothesis is -- and has been for a year or so --- that LIVER problems are connected with amyloid plaque buildup. That would explain:
1) The relationship between statin drugs (known to cause liver cancer) and dementia/Alzheimer's;
2) The relationship between alcohol and dementia/Alzheimer's.
Using the 2 AM endpoint of the time window you provided, that is right in the middle of the 1-3 AM window in TCM so dovetails beautifully.
