Being a transcriptionist - You need to learn how to Posted: Aug 14th, 2017 - 11:41 am In Reply to: M*Modal Employment Satisfaction? - newbie
deal with ESLs, background noise, bad sound quality, pauses that will drive you crazy, mispronounced words/medications, long and winded reports, go back and change this and that, numbers that will be almost intelligible especially on voice, very little straight transcription, the biggest lie ever, that you make twice as much as an editor, hence they pay you half. You will work twice as hard with editing than you do with straight transcription. You will suffer through NJA and be monitored beyond belief with M*M. Be prepared for the worst and you may survive.
Buckle up, it's going to be a bumpy ride!
