Mmodal lost because Kaiser sued them - make sure you have your facts straight Posted: Aug 9th, 2017 - 2:31 pm In Reply to: Okay, I'll clarify - sm
Kaiser caught Medquist overcharging for lines. Then when records were pulled it came to light that the MTs were underpaid. Nothing would have ever happened had Kaiser not sued. The MTs would have never gotten their money because they had no idea they were being cheated. I do agree though that AHDI was all too happy to step in and steal the money.
I don't work for Nuance but I have been tagging this article wherever I can because I am a remote employee and the companies do take advantage of remote employees. When an employer puts in writing they are offering a bonus the employee has no choice to believe them at their word. When the employer then pulls back the offer, admits they made a mistake they need to be called out on it. Nuance begged these employees to work extra to keep their clients (which it looks like they lost anyway) and then refuses to pay them? Who does that? And why would anyone ever trust this company again or want to work for them? Let me tell you what- Mmodal offered the same bonus and paid it. The next pay period. They didn't try to weasel out or make up some lame excuse. They paid it. Nuance deserves whatever comes their way from this article and lawsuits. You don't treat your employees like that. The only ones who stuck through this whole mess with you.
