I heard that one contractor had her contract revoked with no notice because she sent an email that she would not be treated as an employee and that person filed with the IRS and they ruled she was an employee! Then, there was another who was suspended for a few days because she pretty much said the same thing. How do you suspend a contractor? That makes no sense to me, but working somewhere as an IC and being treated as an employee makes no sense to me either.
