I was also nominated for MT of the year and got $100 card when I was eliminated from the competition. I never started failing audits afterward, and I enjoyed having a little extra money to spend. I can't imagine just letting 50 dollars go to waste. You paid taxes on it, you certainly are entitled to use it.
