I got nominated for MT of the month awhile back and I got a $50 gift card. Right after I started failing audits and ended up on PM. My manager said it seems the MT of the month is unlucky and whoever she nominated ends up failing audits afterwards. The card is still sitting on my desk. At first I didn't spend it because after failing audits it seemed hypocritical. Now I am just ready to send it back and request never to nominate me again.
I didn't do anything special or different to get nominated and now I am in an audit black hole trying to dig myself out.
