Feeling better - Sad - noname

I must say, when I first started reading this, I was kinda' miffed! Then I read to the end and I do understand how it seems like you said it does. Yes, it is pathetic to try to work hard for this company; however, I didn't mean I was going to half kill myself in the process!

I simply meant I was going to try out the suggestions that were given to me to see if I can possibly improve my standing and hopefully my paycheck. I am doing more work now than I used to and working harder and like most everyone else, getting paid less! I did not really realize how much some of these metrics were affecting my pay and I am way better than their statistics show! I did NOT suddenly become an incompetent imbecile after 30+ years in this field!

To the one who agreed with Sad, I'm an old-timer, too, so am pretty much stuck. I desperately want out of this company just as much as most here, but there are reasons why I'm still here. That doesn't mean that I shouldn't at least try to better myself and at least make it through the holidays. I agree with you about not giving them the satisfaction of quitting, but I'm afraid that they'll trump up some excuse that will keep me from getting unemployment; like time card fraud because of the inactive time or something like that. Although, how can it be time card fraud when we don't get paid by the hour? I know most usually you never get UE on the 1st try, but if you appeal, you usually win, but I'm just afraid that I won't and then I'd really be stuck!

I also agree with you regarding those who are young...they need to get out of here as fast as they can, although maybe they're not being nit-picked picked to death as much as us 'old-timers!' It seems that a lot of those on here who have either quit, been fired or still here but trying to get out are older.

MM has already brought me down, but I don't plan on staying here until I retire! I'm too far away from retirement for that! Plus, if I don't improve, I will be out the door anyway. I was thinking that this call was my last chance before being fired, but from what someone else posted about the steps to being fired, I would consider this my positive coaching. ????

Anyway, good luck to us all. I hope in the not too distant future, someone brings these high and mighty MTSOs to their knees!!!
