Many companies went with "wanting a schedule" because of TAT and making sure they had enough people on board to meet that TAT. My kids are grown and gone, so I don't have to worry about that, plus I work for 2 companies, straight typing where I am TRULY an IC with no set schedule. I just let either company know by email or IM if I am available that day to work.
