TAA is Trade Adjustment Agreement. - It was put into effect

Posted: Mar 31st, 2016 - 4:37 pm In Reply to: What is TAA and why are you being retrained? - nm

about 15 years ago due to so many of our jobs being shipped over seas and across borders, thus, putting a lot of us out of work or with little work. It is a program which pays for retraining employees for another trade which they can then become employed and make a decent living again. I'm retraining for medical coding because it seems the most logical and easy transition for me. I'm older and currently an MT and making pretty much no money. Hard to find a job due to my age and limited skill set, etc.
