I had the same exact problems as you. There is something updating in the background, that is scheduled for the same time each day. No, the company-supplied computers do not have enough RAM to allow for the updates while we are working.
I would imagine Support got in your computer and deleted a bunch of files (their cure-all). If they did, you have to go into Fluency, under Tools, Options, Audio, and reset your foot pedal to the second option (sorry, not working, so I don't know what it's called - something digital). If it's on that already, change it to another one, then change it back. I have to do this EVERY TIME Support gets in my computer.
