I get the same reaction at our local - Vietnamese grocery stores.

We are the 2nd or 3rd largest Vietnamese resettlement population in the US, and I eat at many Vietnamese restaurants and shop at many Vietnamese grocery stores. I get the same reaction. I really prefer Vietnamese food and love fish sauce. Also prices on spices and meats are much better. We had so many US soldiers over there, I think they would be used to Americans enjoying their food, but apparently not. PS, I am the OP. I think we are getting a Costco. I get my meds at Sam's but will not buy anything else at Sam's or Wal Mart. I think the Waltons are horrible (the corporation, not the TV show).
