Dear MT community: I think this is huge news that you folks may be interested in hearing about. There is an article in Healthcare IT News forecasting a “200%” increase in inhouse transcription. This is on the heels of the American Medical Association (AMA) just announcing the launch of its own Healthcare 2047 initiative at https://www.health2047.com/ whereby they appear to be taking back their power in the form of a joint venture with Silicon Valley to transform the healthcare industry utilizing technology their way and under their direction, instead of the “tail wagging the dog” scenario that has had them doing increasing amounts of administrative work since the advent of EHR technology. Part of that involves them saying they want their MTs back – WOW!
