Independent contractors fight back - Doing okay

They can ask for anything they want to. It is up to you to say no, that is not the way I work. I have sent many resumes to ads saying they want full time ICs. I indicate I only want part-time and what days/hours I am willing to commit to. About half of the time I get a response and the conversation continues. As long as people accept "full time IC" positions, companies will ask for them. This is my point, as a contractor you are not at their mercy. If no one would agree to it, the companies might be forced to change their way of doing business. That is what I meant by fight back.
